The view from our hotel room.  Scenic if you like chimney pots and satellite dishes.

We took a cab to Sacred-Heart Basilica.  Here is the view from the steps.
We enjoyed the cathedral.  I wanted to climb to the dome, but the man at the door did not think I could make it.  I was willing to take that as a challenge, but Lynn though the steep price and the steep climb made it a bad idea.

2 views of Sacred Heart.

View from the cab.

View from the cab--have no idea what these dead clocks are about, but thought them interesting.

We caught the tour bus at the opera again.

The opera.

When we got on the tour bus and started to sit down, the man in front of us spotted my Zag shirt, and said "Gonzaga! Basketball!"  The couple was from Florida, and the are big college basketball fans.

The Plaza of Concord.  Egyptian obelisk.

Views from the bus.

Can't remember the name of the building, but Napoleon 1's ashes are under the dome.

The pyramid at the Louvre.  We walked all the way around the Louvre to check out a restaurant, then found out the Louvre was closed on Tuesday, so we didn't get to see the Art of the Americas exhibit I wanted to see.

Chariot statue in front of the Louvre.

Then we went to the Orsay Museum of impressionist art.  These statues are out front--you can't take photos inside.

While we were standing in line I hear "Look, Gonzaga" and got to chat with a couple from Seattle who were familiar with the Zags.

I was disappointed that we did not get to see the Money pictures, that gallery was closed for renovation.  But we did get to see Van Gogh, Degas, Manet, Rodin, etc.

We had planned to go to a restaurant near the Orsay, but it did not  open until 7 and we were there about 4:30.  We thought about dressing up going back, but once we got through a terrible taxi ride which cost us twice what it should have because the driver didn't know where to go, and got to our hotel room and took off our shoes, we decided against.

We are about to go to our local restaurant again.
