Go, Gonzaga!

The servers in the restaurant Friday all noticed my Gonzaga t-shirt.  I think they thought it was for the fighter Gonzaga, but when I told them it was Gonzaga University, where Ronny Turiaf played basketball, their eyes lit up.  (Ronny is a member of the French national team.)

Yesterday was a long day.  We got up late and took the metro over to where we were supposed to catch our boat for the Seine River and Canal tour.  We walked about twice as far as we had to through the park, and nearly missed the boat.  Thw pics above are all taken from the boat.   The last two are at the end of a long tunnel--very eerie--where the canal goes underground.

We had not had breakfast, so after the tour we found a restaurant and had a late lunch.  We met two couples from Georgia and had a nice chat with them.  They noticed my Gonzaga shirt, and even pronounced it right and knew where Gonzaga is located.

Here is a pic of us at the restraurant.

After eating we took the metro bak to our hotel. We were so tired, that I just had Lynn go to a Thai restaurant we had seen the day before and brink back take out.

It was a pretty relaxing first day in Paris.
