The best laid plans gang aft agley..

Well, they certainly did.  Despite having all my ducks rowed up for a smooth departure tomorrow, and a leisurely drive to our hotel in Spokane, it pretty much fell apart yesterday.

We took our cat, Queen Latifah, in for a follow-up after her treatment for a bladder infection.  Unfortunately, she is not well, and is going to have to have surgery to find out what is going on--no infection, but a mass of some kind.  Of course, they could not get her in until tomorrow.  And they are having to squeeze her in to an already full schedule, so they don't have any idea when she will be done.  And naturally, we don't want to leave for Spokane until we know what's going on with her, so it will probably be much later in the day before we leave.  Poor baby!

Add to that the disappointment of finding out today that we won't be able to see our grand-daughter, her husband, and their two babies while we are England.  Her husband's scheduled deployment to Lakenheath AFB with the USAF has been cancelled.  Not a fun couple of days.  We weren't really surprised--the Air Force has been changing things on them since they were told him was going to the UK.

On the bright side---that will give us time to schedule a side trip to the Isle of Wight, a place I have always wanted to go.
