We drove over to the Bentwaters Cold War Museum, formerly a USAF base, and a command centre for preparations for battle and defence against chemical and biological warfare, which fortunately never had to be put into practice
One of 3 planes which have recently arrived and are being restored.
We had lunch outside the museum--our nephew David, his girlfriend Emma, me and Lynn. Tessa taking the picture.
Just had to take a picture of the photos strictly prohibited sign, left from the days as a command post.
Instructions for using the decontamination center--simulated for training inn case of chemical attack.
Various memorabilia in the cold war museum.
Woodbridge. We walked along the River Deben to the Deben Tidal Mill first running in the 1100's. Unfortunately, the building ws all covered with scaffolding for restoration, so I did not get a photo.
Wonderful views along the river.
David, Tessa, Lynn, me with the river in the background.
We wanted to go in the local brewery, but they were just closing, so we did not get to.
Another lovely day out in Suffolk.
(By the way, if anyone notices the spelling i my blog--since we are hooled up to Google UK, the computer wants me to use Brit spelling, and I quite like it, so I don't change it.)
